ABOUT
As they say, it’s one thing to take a picture; it’s another thing to make a picture. Technology has turned everyone into a photographer, but not everyone can translate an idea into a compelling image or allow people to be themselves in front of the camera. By keeping things light and fun, while at the same time creating sophisticated imagery, I make people feel at ease and that we are working together to create something different.

Whether it means documenting the urban landscape of the ghettos in Kingston, Jamaica or working on a business shoot in downtown Manhattan or capturing a more authentic side of a celebrity, I make people feel comfortable, and that allows them to trust me. Today, it’s not enough to have strong technical abilities. To make a good picture, I continually have to find ways to get closer to things, to discover in them something unexpected, to get people to open up in a different and real way. This is evident in all of my shoots, from my lifestyle imagery, to feature stories in magazines, to my advertising campaigns.

In addition to my commissioned work, I’m constantly engaging in personal projects that are meant to be entertaining and fun. I want to show the lighter side of photography and to make people laugh. But I also want my photography to be a social commentary on the world around us, without losing sight of its humor.
